James has been commissioned by London’s Studio Shaw to make a series of photographs at Bridge House, a new multi-family housing project set along the Hertford Union Canal in Hackney Wick, on the site of a former waste management plant. Emerging as part of the 2012 Olympic Games legacy, the development brings together 40 dual-aspect apartments—each with its own balcony—and access to a shared roof garden.
At ground level, a gallery, workshops, and café open onto a sequence of public spaces that connect the building to the canal.
